A day trip to Tanba Sasayama -- Black beans and sightseeing report

On 18th, we went on Back beans crop tour to Tanba Sasayama
under  a beautiful autumn day

We arrived at around noon and went straight to "Hiiragiya"
a famous shop as "hand made sara(dish) soba.♪
While being excited at seasoning- yamaimo (yam) and iwanori(seaweed on rock)・・・!!!!

One after another・・・
Since 5 dishes per person
the table is full !!
we were uneasy, thinking
whether we can eat them all or not ・・・・
But we perfectly made it!!

・・・Sorry I tell a lie.

I ate other person's portion too.
(Thank you )
←my dishes look like a mountain(oops..)

Satisfied with richly-flavored soba.

Lastly  we enjoyed soba-yu (boiled water when making soba) and sweetened fried soba(can't stop eating). recommedable as souvenir☆ ) and then free-time.

After that!!
Main event -- Harvesting black beans in Kawakita area, the best black beans ♪♪

↑Black beans
Excited, watching the the bean field.
Mr Tuneda, producer
Charming smile

What is black beans ?・・・ Let's eat firt anyway!!
←We tried.
Plump soybeans♪
Better to steam than boil them
to get best taste.
Now everybody well ready to harvest !!

Grab  thick stems and cut ・・・
Kept cropping. Felt sense of achievement!

Then we tasted delicacies of Tanba, baked chestnuts and
black soybean bread under slow and natural atomosphere.

Thank you very much
for spending enjoyable time with us.
Also・・・
During free time,
I tried rare delicacy.
"Wild bore steamd bread"
It is now in some travel book and seasoned with Haccho miso.
The master said
"Getting a hint from wild bore potI did many trials and errors to come up with this taste・・"
,which made us more interested to eat.☆

Wondering what taste is it like ?
Delicious because sweetness of miso completely covered distinct smell.♪

Sasayama has a lot more goodies you can enjoy.
